Information for Homeowners

If you are planning a new development or would like to find out more as a homeowner about a fibre optic connection, Siggenthal4net provides the key information on connecting to the point-to-point Fibre to the Home (FTTH) fibre optic network in Untersiggenthal and Obersiggenthal.
The fibre optic network provides a future-ready infrastructure for residential and commercial properties. Each unit has its own dedicated fibre optic connection from the central office to the optical telecommunications outlet (OTO), ready for service. This ensures no bandwidth sharing or performance loss – independent of usage by other users.
Dadurch erhält jede Einheit eine eigene direkte Verbindung, ohne Bandbreitenteilung oder Leistungsverlust – unabhängig von der Nutzung durch andere Parteien.

Costs and Connection
During the area-wide fibre optic network rollout in Unter- and Obersiggenthal, no costs were incurred by homeowners. Through the Building Connection Agreement (GEV), the free initial connection to the point-to-point FTTH fibre optic network operated by Siggenthal4net was secured.
The building connection to the fibre optic network, as well as the connection of each residential and commercial unit up to the optical telecommunications outlet (OTO socket), was provided free of charge. The entire fibre optic network was fully financed by Siggenthal4net, without the use of public funds or subsidies. Das gesamte Glasfasernetz wurde vollständig von Siggenthal4net finanziert, ohne Einsatz von Steuergeldern oder Subventionen.
For homeowners, tenants and businesses, there are no ongoing charges payable to Siggenthal4net as long as the fibre optic connection is not actively used. Any costs arise exclusively with the chosen service provider, should an internet, TV or telephony service be ordered.
New buildings
New builds on greenfield sites and vertical extensions to existing buildings in Untersiggenthal and Obersiggenthal are generally connected to the point-to-point fibre optic network free of charge. This initial connection is implemented directly from the central office to the optical telecommunications outlet (OTO) and enables immediate use of the fibre optic connection.
Once your building permit has been granted, please contact Siggenthal4net using the form below. After receiving all required information, we will send you the contract for the initial connection. Once signed, your building will be connected to the Siggenthal4net point-to-point FTTH fibre optic network free of charge.
